Help Build the Next Generation of Computer Vision AI
We’re inviting participants from across Latin America to take part in a Computer Vision Project. This initiative focuses on collecting egocentric — first-person, point-of-view — video data that captures a variety of household activities, from specific languages and regions.
If you’re comfortable performing everyday tasks naturally in front of a head-mounted camera, your footage can help train AI systems to better understand real-world human activity.
South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Venezuela, Peru, Uruguay, or Central America: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama
What You’ll Do
- Record high-quality egocentric (first-person perspective) video of yourself performing genuine, real-world industrial and household (non-cooking) activities.
- Capture all recordings through the project’s designated mobile application.
Requirements
- Be actively performing meaningful tasks that reflect genuine work execution.
- Complete tasks standing or walking — not seated; you must remain standing throughout.
- Show natural hand interactions and object manipulation.
- Perform tasks naturally, without staged, robotic, or exaggerated movements.
- Each video clip may range from 5 minutes to 100 hours in length.
- Record a maximum of 100 hours in total, in any combination of household or industrial activities.
Device Requirements
Use one of the following devices — no other devices are permitted unless specifically approved:
- Apple: iPhone 11 or newer
- Google: Pixel 6 or newer
- Samsung: Galaxy S21 or newer
Camera Setup Requirements
- Mount the device securely on your forehead using a headstrap, sitting firmly in place.
- Angle the camera approximately 45 degrees downward.
- Keep hands visible while working; toes should be visible when standing still.
- Keep both hands and the workspace/task area visible when standing naturally.
Video Quality Requirements
- Keep a stable camera view with proper lighting — footage should be well-lit and easy to see.
- Ensure clear visibility of hands and objects being manipulated.
