Project Details
We’re looking for male participants across India to join a short voice recording project. Help train an AI assistant to better understand its wake words: ‘Hey Claude’ and ‘Hi Claude’.
The task is easy. You record 50 short phrases, read one small newspaper passage, and speak freely for one short paragraph. That is all. The full session takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
You do not need a studio. You do not need any special equipment. You only need your own smartphone and a quiet room.
Who Can Participate?
We are looking for native Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi speakers. You will speak in English during the recording.

Requirements
- Native speaker of Tamil, Telugu, or Marathi
- Able to read and speak English
- Age 20 to 60
- Own smartphone with a working microphone
- Quiet room for the full session
- Complete all recording tasks in one session
What You Will Record
Your session has three small tasks:
- 25 times — “Hey Claude”
- 25 times — “Hi Claude”
- Please read the sentence exactly as it appears on the screen
How It Works
Everything is recorded on your phone’s microphone. No studio. No special equipment. Just a quiet room.
01 — Say the Wake Words
Record 50 short phrases: “Hey Claude” and “Hi Claude”. Say them at your normal speed. Do not rush and do not go too slow.
02 — Read a Short Passage
A newspaper passage will show on your screen. Read it exactly as written. Do not add the wake word. Do not change any words.
Before You Start
Please check these points first. They keep your recording clean and usable.
- Find a quiet room. No TV, no fan noise, no traffic sound, no people talking. Background noise
- Silence other phones near you.
- Hold your phone 10 to 15 cm from your mouth. Keep it slightly to one side, not straight in front.
- Turn off all sound settings like noise reduction, noise cancellation, auto gain control (AGC), or voice enhancement. Your recording must show your real voice and real accent.
How Long Does It Take?
One session only. About 15 to 20 minutes. You do it once, from home, at a time that suits you.
