Face Deduplication Project — Global Participants Needed

Help Build Smarter, More Robust AI Vision Models

We’re inviting participants globally to take part in an exciting Face Deduplication data collection project. This initiative focuses on capturing current selfie-style photos, fun head-pose shots, and throwback photos from your gallery to help build smarter, more robust AI vision models.

What You’ll Do

• Snap a few current front-facing “identity anchor” photos and head-pose photos using your phone’s front camera.
• Dig through your camera roll and upload historical photos of yourself — the older, the better!
• Do everything right in the project’s mobile app — quick, simple, and secure.
• Rest easy knowing all approved images are stored securely and used purely for research and product development.

Who Can Join

• Anyone 45 years or older at the time of participation, who can provide informed consent.
• Got old photos from when you were under 45? No problem — they’re allowed, as long as you’re 45+ now and consent to their use.
• You must be a real, unique individual — no duplicate sign-ups across platforms or vendors.
• Just be yourself! No filters, no staged poses — natural is what we’re after.

Simple Requirements

• Any modern smartphone with a working front camera.
• Original photos — no screenshots, no photos-of-photos, no AI-generated or upscaled images.

Getting the Shot Right

• Hold your phone at arm’s length & look straight at the camera, like you’re unlocking your phone.
• Keep your face fully visible — no hands, hair, masks, or sunglasses blocking your eyes, nose, or mouth.
• At least one current photo should be glasses-free (reading/corrective glasses are otherwise fine).
• Make sure you’re the only recognizable face in the shot.

Quality Checklist

• Bright, even lighting — eyes, nose, and mouth clearly visible.
• Good resolution: face area at least 512 × 512 px.
• Photos should include original metadata (date taken) wherever possible.

Compensation

Earn approximately $3.60 to $9.60 for a completed set of 22–24 approved images — your exact rate depends on your location.
