We are inviting native Haryanvi speakers to participate in a paid AI voice recording project. This initiative builds high-quality speech datasets that help AI systems understand Haryanvi — a living dialect spoken by millions across Haryana.

Right now, no voice technology understands Haryanvi. Not Google, not Siri, not any voice assistant. That changes only when enough native speakers record their voice — in one place, at proper quality. The task is simple: record short speech prompts from home using your phone and submit through our app. A Shaip team member will guide you through the full process.

🧩What You’ll Do

  • Read Speech
    • Short Haryanvi sentences appear on screen one at a time — read them aloud naturally.
    • Each sentence is 5–12 seconds long. One sentence, one recording.
    • Topics include: daily life, agriculture, local culture, regional news, and general conversation.
    • No sentence repeats within your session.
  • Conversational Speech
    • Have a natural phone or VoIP conversation in Haryanvi with a partner.
    • Both sides of the conversation are recorded separately.
    • No script — just speak naturally in Haryanvi.

📋Requirements

  • Native Haryanvi speaker — grew up speaking Haryanvi at home
  • Age 18–55 years — all age groups within this range are welcome
  • Access to a quiet indoor recording environment
  • Comfortable following recording guidelines provided by the Shaip team
  • Male and female speakers both needed — all genders encouraged to apply.
