Project Details
Shaip is running a US & UK electronic receipt data collection project to support AI and machine learning research. Contributors are invited to submit real purchase confirmation emails with all personal information removed.
What You’ll Submit
- Real email-based receipts in .eml format
- Must show merchant name, purchase/billing date, total amount, and currency
- Receipts must be from the last 2 years
- All personal identifiable information (PII) must be redacted.
Accepted Receipt Categories
Subscriptions, Bank Transfers, Groceries, Food Delivery, Transport & Fuel, Fun & Leisure, Fashion & Beauty (in-store only), Gambling, Phone/Internet/TV Bills, Loans & BNPL Repayments.
Not Accepted
Refunds or returns, failed or pending transactions, gift cards, receipts without prices, screenshots/photos, fake or AI-generated data.
Privacy & Data Safety
All personal data such as names, emails, phone numbers, order numbers, addresses, and card details must be removed before submission. Shaip does not store personal data.
Payments
$1 per approved receipts (eml) (Maximum 50)

Open to contributors from the United States and United Kingdom. No restrictions on age, gender, or background.

Project Collection Rules
- At least 5 receipts per top 50 merchants (as per the merchant list provided) per locale.
- Subscriptions / recurring bills: Maximum 5 assets per participant per merchant.
- All other receipts:
- Maximum 25 assets per merchant per category
- Maximum 45 assets per participant
- Maximum 5 receipts/Category per user
- The referred worker must complete approximately 45 receipts as part of the assigned task.
All referral incentives will be applicable only after the submitted data passes the quality check and receives final approval.
